Earlybird Software was founded in the spring of 2012 from within a Chicago-based media startup. An initial attempt at a product soon became a company obsessed with how software might be developed more efficiently, an eventually, an agile consulting practice that helped fully build and deploy over 30 web and mobile applications in under five years, across a wide array of industries. Today we’re helping businesses with the one of the toughest aspects of cloud software: data. Specifically, we help businesses take advantage of what we’ve learned over the last decade building for powerful new public cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
Beginning in 2015, we started focusing more deeply on cloud warehousing and data analytics technologies, efforts that were motivated by new client opportunities in automotive retail, aviation services, and higher education. The auto dealer groups in particular proved to be a good fit for this work since they had large amounts of data around their vehicle inventories and customer loyalty campaigns that greatly benefitted from the use of tools like Amazon Redshift and Google BigQuery. In seeking to standardize certain components of their reporting systems, we began work on our Highbeam framework in 2017, and by the start of this year, projects implemented with Earlybird solutions were handling the data of over 90 dealership stores nationwide, including two groups in the Automotive News Top 50.
